The Quebec government will invest $80 million over four years to encourage foreign students to pursue higher education in French-language postsecondary educational institutions in the region. The objective is to promote the regions of Quebec, to contribute to the regionalization of immigration and to promote the long-term establishment of foreign students in the regions of the province.

The program will target foreign students who will study in certain specific fields, where there is a glaring shortage of manpower, such as information technologies, engineering, health and social services, and the field of education, including the training of early childhood educators.

TUITION FEES

The average annual cost for international students is $17,000 at CEGEP and $24,000 at university. The government is proposing to reduce these fees to zero for the college level and $3,000 for the university level.

ADMISSION FEE

For a first application for admission, a fee of CA$85 is required.

ELIGIBLE DOCUMENTS

You will need to file the following documents in your online personal file:
A legible copy of your birth certificate showing your parents’ names and place of birth.
Transcripts for your last three years of secondary school (10th, 11th and 12th years) as well as the related diplomas, if applicable. Post-secondary transcripts and associated degrees can complete the file.

Admission – International Students
Any student wishing to be admitted to an educational institution that is a member of the Service régional d’admission au collégial de Québec (SRACQ) must submit an application for admission before the deadlines for admission for the school year beginning in end of August for the fall semester and mid-January for the winter semester.
